City of Concord

Concord logo with a blue mountain silhouette and yellow sunburst rays in the background.

This Concord Citywide Climate Action Plan (CAP) has been prepared in response to mandates from the State of California intended to reduce the emission of greenhouse gases statewide, because of their contribution to global climate change. The city has identified the ways it will take action to support the State’s goals while supporting the local economy and quality of life. The strategies included in this plan work in several ways:

  • Building performance,
  • Transportation systems and land use,
  • Adaptation, and
  • Participation.
