The City of Half Moon Bay and the Half Moon Bay community is committed to pursuing and implementing more sustainable practices to reduce its carbon footprint.

The city strives to  provide a more sustainable infrastructure for the community. In fact, the city installed a public EV charging station, converting more thank 200 streetlights to LED and recently constructed a Zero-Net Energy (ZNE) library, which will be the first public ZNE building in San Mateo County.
