About OneShoreline

The San Mateo County Flood and Sea Level Rise Resiliency District, also known as OneShoreline, was established by the State of California in 2020 as the first independent countywide government agency to work across jurisdictional boundaries to plan for, and build resilience to, the water-related impacts of climate change. OneShoreline’s project and planning objectives assume that sea level rise and coastal erosion will continue to accelerate over the coming decades, and atmospheric rivers and drought are the new normal.
